Till the mid eighties hard rock had an almost mystical underground status, because of total lack of airplay on tv and radio. At the end of the eighties there was a revolution. MTV and several other big radio and tv stations embrace the hard rock so it suddenly became beloved by a big audience.It was a wonderful time for Arjan van der Linde, Christof Bauwens and Harrie Groenewold from Groningen, The Netherlands. They where still three little boys who were very interested in this style of music.

Nowadays these boys are joined together in the rock band VanderLinde. Started as a cover band soon they began to write their own songs. In 2005 they released their 1st single "Eagle". Arjan van der Linde wrote this song for his father who passed away.
November 2006 they finished their first album ‘Fertility’, recorded by Harrie de Winter. All songs are written by Arjan van der Linde, front man, singer and bass guitar player of the band. Most of the songs are autobiographical. You can describe the sound as a mixture of American Rock, Country Rock and Hard Rock.
The 2nd album "Vanderlism" has been produced in the U.S.A. by Erwin Musper who worked with a lot of international bands like Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Van Halen and the Scorpions and with well-known Dutch acts like Zinatra, Robby Valentine, Mennen, Racoon, Billy The Kid and Van Dik Hout.
Vanderlinde also did some gigs in the U.S.A. One of these has been recorded and is available as bonus DVD on "Vanderlism".
